They beat up a man and kidnapped him in the trunk of a car in the middle of the street in Vallecas.

Five men of different ages and nationalities were arrested for allegedly committing a kidnapping in the Puente de Vallecas neighborhood. The victim, although injured, was rescued by the National and Municipal Police, as ABC learned. At the time of going to press, the hostage had not filed a complaint for fear of reprisals.

The events occurred between 7:20 pm and 7:40 pm this Sunday, September 22, at number 65 Carlos Martín Álvarez Street. Municipal police officers were called after a witness reported seeing five individuals forcefully taking another person from the trunk of a Seat Exeo. The first sign to arrive saw a suspicious car, with five men inside. The passenger window was broken.

Another sign from the National Police joined. They searched the investigated group, without any opposition, and when they opened the trunk of the car, they saw no one inside. A neighbor reported that he knew the victim, from the neighborhood, and that his name was Felix: “They approached him and punched and kicked him. “They forced him into the trunk of the Seat, together, and they headed towards Albufera Avenue.”

The hostage then asked for help from the officers. He showed up with a broken nasal septum and footprints on his jacket, as if he had been kicked. It was Felix who managed to explain how everything had happened, according to his version: “Five men I don’t know at all approached me, accusing me of having been the perpetrator of the robbery inside a vehicle. I told them I hadn’t done anything, but they beat me and put me in the trunk. On the way, I told them I hadn’t done anything but that I could take them to the place where the perpetrator of the robbery was. Then they agreed to change direction and take me to a nearby street, where they could locate the thief. But since they didn’t find him, they let me go and quickly drove away.” He did not accept medical help.

The driver said: “They stole the interior of the car and some neighbours told me it was Felix, but he claims it’s another black man.” The detainees (two Madrilenians, a Salvadoran, a Paraguayan and a Peruvian, aged 55, 57, 31, 26 and 31 respectively) were transferred to the Puente de Vallecas police station.
