Faithful to its firm position in favor of equal regional funding without privileges for any autonomous community, the president of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano García-Pagerepeated this Saturday from Barcelona his famous “so far” against the singular caupo of Catalonia and attacked once again against these regions which “want to have more than the others”instead of “uniting” the nation.
“This is as far as we can go, I defend that those who have the most pay more,” Page said from the Catalan capital, recalling his the famous “so far” launched last July in an energetic institutional declaration which toured Spain and in which he attacked the privileged financing pact of the PSOE with the ERC.
In a speech given this Saturday at the Casa de Cuenca, where he received the 2024 Quijote Prize from the Communities of Castile-La Mancha in Catalonia, Page reiterated that “Those who have the most are not rewarded, quite the contrary” and demanded the appeal in December of Tax and Financial Policy Council to “agree among all on the distribution” of the collection of the new tax package approved this week by Congress.
