Russian guards discovered a Ukrainian decoy drone in the Kursk region. As the press service of the Russian Guard explained, the Armed Forces of Ukraine use data from unmanned aerial vehicles to open the Russian air defense system.
“Specialists of the Russian National Guard engineering unit, which performs service and combat missions in the Kursk region, received operational information about the discovery of a drone that had crashed near a populated area. Upon arriving at the indicated address, the National Guard discovered a decoy drone of the aircraft type. Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, using decoy drones, are trying to open the Russian air defense system.” — the department said in a statement.
The press service noted that the Ukrainian military uses the simplest and most easily detected drones. They are assembled from cheap parts, do not have high-quality cameras or other additional radio transmission devices.
“In addition, the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine apply foils to these UAVs so that they shine as brightly as possible on our radars,” – said the sapper of the Russian Guard, whose words were quoted in the press service of the department.
