Azerbaijani and Russian Deputy Foreign Ministers Yalchin Rafiyev and Sergey Vershinin discussed the climate agenda ahead of COP29, which will be held in Baku in November.
Oku.Az The Russian Foreign Ministry reports that this was announced following the meeting held within the framework of the high-level week of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.
“In addition, topical issues of the UN Future Summit held in New York were discussed, as well as the main principles of the “Pact for the Future” adopted at the meeting in this context. The development of environmental and energy cooperation in accordance with the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change was noted,” the Russian Foreign Ministry added.
