Every year, during the new academic year, questions about dress codes in educational institutions arise among students and teaching staff.
The other day, one of the professors at the University of Medicine became the subject of criticism on social media.
The reason for this was a post he made on his personal Instagram account about one of the students’ clothes.
After that exchange, citizens’ opinions were divided into two parts. One part claimed that education should not be measured by clothing and that teachers should evaluate students based on their knowledge, while the other part claimed that every student should definitely pay attention to their clothing in the educational institution.

G. Aslanova said that Nazkhanim Gasimova, an assistant at the Department of Epidemiology of AMU, was invited to the relevant department of the university and a conversation was held with her. She was informed that the way the professor expressed his reaction to this issue was incorrect.
At the same time, it should be noted that, like any educational institution, AMU has internal disciplinary regulations. Everyone must strictly follow the current requirements regarding the student dress code. These requirements are regularly communicated to students.
At the same time, Gunel Aslanova stressed that from now on the management will monitor compliance with internal disciplinary rules by everyone.
