Air raid sirens sounded in northern Israel in the Western Galilee region, causing concern among local residents. Alarms were activated in Nahariya and neighboring communities.
However, as the IDF later reported, the alarm turned out to be false. In an official statement, the Israel Defense Forces clarified that the activation of the sirens, which was initially associated with the possible penetration of an enemy unmanned aerial vehicle, was not confirmed.
We remind you of the importance of following safety regulations during the bombing:
- If your home has a protected room (MAMAD) or a bomb shelter, take shelter there immediately, making sure to close the armored shutters. If there are no such rooms, choose a room with the fewest external walls and windows, close all doors and windows, sit on the floor against the internal wall, and avoid standing in front of the windows.
- Residents of multi-story buildings where there is no MAMAD or bomb shelter should climb the stairs and go down two floors below the upper level of the building.
- If you find yourself on the street during the “Tseva Adom” signal, immediately take shelter in the nearest building. If there are no buildings nearby, lie on the ground and cover your head with your hands.
- After the signal, do not leave the shelter for 10-15 minutes, unless otherwise instructed by Reception Service.
- If you find debris from a rocket, report it immediately to emergency services and warn others about the possible danger.
- If you are in a vehicle, stop, abandon the vehicle, and hide in a nearby building. If this is not possible, lie on the floor and cover your head. As a last resort, stay in the car for 10 minutes.
- Do not withdraw missiles or air defenses; this can be dangerous and reveal information about Iron Dome’s positions.
