In recent days, an increase in caterpillars of the American white butterfly has been observed in the capital.
According to Khezerxeber.az, this happened in the courtyard of a five-storey building located on Abay Kunanbayev Street, 7th microdistrict of Binagadi district. Residents who fell into the courtyard were forced to sit on the seats with these insects.
Residents said the number of caterpillars has increased especially in the past two months.
Experts have pointed out that these caterpillars are the caterpillars of the American white butterfly and live mainly in mulberry trees. The Baku City Union of Organic Farmers said that the area has been brought under control.
