The world sports ranking table of countries around the world shows the results of the prestigious competitions that will take place in the remainder of 2024.
Oku.Az Azerbaijan is ranked 51st among the countries in the world. Our athletes have accumulated 204 points this year.
These points were possible thanks to success in 8 categories. Our judo team scored the most: 65 points.
Azerbaijan scored 32 points in boxing, 28 points in freestyle wrestling, 25 points in Greco-Roman wrestling, 24 points in taekwondo, 18 points in 3×3 basketball, 8 points in rhythmic gymnastics and 4 points in athletics. In the overall list, Azerbaijan outperformed countries such as Finland, Georgia, Bulgaria, Cuba and Jamaica.
Our team is ranked 27th among European countries. The national men’s team is ranked 44th and the women’s team is ranked 68th.
It should be noted that the list of 135 countries is headed by the United States with 6,371 points.
