Silva also highlighted that last week in Brazil the national carbon market was approved.
The minister highlighted that its implementation will be carried out in parallel with the introduction of the international carbon market, after the approval of the country’s president, Luis Inácio Lula da Silva.
“This will ensure ecological integrity and create control mechanisms in accordance with international standards,” he added.
