Oku.Az reports that “Analysis of the skeletons of the Western Scythians shows that their successors are Azerbaijanis” Zaur Hasanov, PhD in History, Deputy Director of the ANAS Institute of Archeology and Anthropology, talks about the evidence that the Scythian and Sakan tribes settled in Azerbaijan.
According to him, only two writings about the Scythians have survived: “The first Scythian words are completely Turkish. One of the 9 books of Herodotus is completely dedicated to the Scythians. The Scythian words mentioned in the book of Herodotus are Turkish. The Scythians have “has nothing to do with the Iranian people.”
He said that the inscription “Altun adam” was written in Turkish, in the obsolete order: “There is evidence to prove that the Sak tribes settled in Azerbaijan. Scythian myths and noble and grave customs are the same as the beliefs of the Azerbaijani people The genetic analysis of the Scythian skeletons has determined who their heirs are. Thus, the results of the research Genetic analyzes have shown that the heirs of the Scythians are. Azerbaijanis, that is, the skeletons of the Western Scythians. The analysis shows that the heirs are Azerbaijanis. From 105 skeletons it was determined that the heirs of the eastern group are Kipchaks.
At the end, Z. Hasanov spoke about the writings about the Scythians in the book Herodotus, as well as the results of genetic analysis of 105 Scythian skeletons.
It should be remembered that the objective of the Chronicle of Western Azerbaijan project is to preserve and promote the name of our historical lands, as well as to learn about the deportation of Azerbaijanis by the Armenians, the toponyms that existed in those territories, but their names.
