Israeli Air Force Strikes 1,600 Hezbollah Targets in Lebanon

The Israeli Air Force carried out strikes against approximately 1,600 Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley in the east of the country, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported. The objects were attacked as part of the military operation “Northern Arrows.”

As the IDF clarified, in the “past few hours” the Israeli Air Force attacked Hezbollah launchers, command posts and infrastructure.

Israel launched a military operation in Lebanon on September 23. It was called “Northern Arrow.” Several days earlier, the IDF carried out attacks in the south of the country and in the capital, Beirut. The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported nearly 500 deaths as a result of Israeli actions, including women and children.

The target of the operation is Hezbollah’s combat infrastructure, said Israeli Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Herzi HaleviA state of emergency has been declared in Israel.

Later, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed Lebanese civilians and called on them to leave the areas where Hezbollah facilities are located. He stressed that Israel is waging a war not against the Lebanese, but against the group.
