The Txantrea neighborhood will be completely reformed and renovated with works that will last 14 months

The Local Government Commission of the Pamplona City Council has approved the allocation of redevelopment works and the renewal of the supply and sanitation networks of Chantréa district.

The works were awarded to UTE Construcciones Mariezcurrena SL and Excavaciones Fermín Osés SL, for an amount of 6,566,794.16 euros, a lead time of 420 days and a 3-year warranty period.

The total amount is divided into 1,604,460 euros for 2024 and 4,962,334.16 euros for 2025. The initial budget was 7,653,606.24 euros, VAT includedwhich generates a surplus of 1,086,812.08 euros.

The work consists of complete renewal of the paving of the streets and squares concernedthe reorganization of intersections in the various blocks with the creation of flat and lowered pedestrian crossings, the construction of a roundabout for the reorganization of a street intersection, the installation of new public lighting, the development of newly created and consolidated green spaces, as well as the installation of necessary irrigation and the replacement of street furniture.

Likewise, the renewal of the sanitation and water supply networks is carried out, according to the projects approved by Pamplona City Council and Pamplona Regional Communityrespectively, and under an agreement signed on February 21, 2024 by the two institutions. The objective is to transform the street area into a pedestrian preference zone in which neighborhood parking is allowed, as the Consistory reports in a note.
