Mammadali Mammadov, previously convicted and suspected of organizing the purchase and sale of drugs, was detained as a result of an operation conducted by officers of the Barda district police department.

It was reported that about 5 kilograms of narcotic marijuana were found in the vehicle. Mammadov claimed in his testimony that he smuggled marijuana from Iran into the country and brought it to the Barda region, where he lives, to arrange its sale.
A criminal case has been initiated and the detainee has been placed in preventive detention. Investigations are ongoing.
