CFA Society Spain, local member society of the CFA Institute, the global association of investment professionals, announced the appointment of Luis Buceta as new president once the current term has ended, according to the statutes of the presidency entity, and that José Luis de Mora Gil Gallardo has held since October 2020. He will lead a team of exceptional professionals who will accompany him on the board of directors of the Spanish section of the CFA Institute. It should be noted that this media has collaborated with the entity for the CFA Institute International Financial Analysis Competition, as well as with Bolsas y Mercados Españoles (BME).
Luis Buceta is currently the Investment Director of Creand WM in Spain (Crèdit Andorrà Financial Group). He previously worked for BNP Paribas Wealth Management as Equity Investment Director, starting his career at Chase Manhattan Bank. For the last four years, Luis has also been Vice President of the CFA Society Spain. He combines his professional activity with teaching; he is a professor at different business schools and universities. He holds degrees in Economics and Business and in Research and Market Techniques from ICADE (E2 and ITM). He holds an Executive MBA from IESE Business School and the CFA certifications in ESG Investment and Certified Advisor (CAd).
Among the main objectives of the new team are to continue strengthening the prestige and growth of the CFA professional accreditation in Spain. Respond to the new needs of investment professionals by facilitating access to new and innovative certifications such as the Certified Advisor CAd Program, the CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing, the Climate Risk, Valuation and Investing Certificate, the Private Markets and Alternative Investments Certificate, the Data Science for Investment Professionals. At the local level, relationships will continue to strengthen with all interest groups CFA Company Spain; Partners, CFA candidates, employers, regulatory and supervisory bodies, as well as with collaborating companies.
This goes too strengthen the activity of all committees that make up the Company in Spain in the areas of private/alternative markets, sustainability, diversity, wealth management, relations with Ibero-American professionals, training, communication, investment performance measurement -CIPM-, regulatory affairs, investment managers and digital assets.
The fundamental objective is to promote the excellence of investment professionals in Spain and the financial sector for the benefit of all Spanish society.
