Will Rafa Nadal Retire After Davis Cup? This Is How David Ferrer Sees It

On Monday afternoon it was announced that Rafa Nadal will be part of the Spanish team in the final of the Davis Cup which will take place in Malaga in November.

There were doubts about the Balearic player, who has not competed since Paris Olympic Games and a week ago he came down from Wash Cupbut it is Rafa himself who is “destined” to fight for another salad bowl.

After knowing your call, David Ferrerthe team’s coach, revealed that everything had started to fall into place even before their trip to Valencia.

“I spoke with Rafa before we started competing in Valencia and the qualifiers. He told me a little bit about the idea and the desire he had that if we qualified there would be a possibility of being“, he explained in statements to ‘Málaga Hoy’.

“The day after or two after getting the pass we spoke and his idea was to be prepared and excited to be in Malaga. It was very easy and He was the one who started and wanted to be in the final from the first moment.” he added.

The big question is whether Nadal will decide to hang up his racquet after David, something Ferrer is reluctant to embark on given the delicate nature of his situation.

“It’s something very personal, Everyone leaves as they wish. “I can’t say what the perfect withdrawal could be. It’s very difficult to manage. But as long as Rafa is happy, everything is fine for me,” he concluded.
