The Huerto brotherhood continues to give shape to the 50th anniversary of its refounding, having already created the poster and logo with which the celebration is announced.
The Cordovan artist Rafael Cervantes signs the poster, which brings together Lord Amarrado, Our Father Jesus in prayer in the garden and María Santísima de la Candelaria, and makes allusions to the other two owners of the brotherhood.
In the space dedicated to the Amarrado a crozier and a miter appear, in honor of San Eloy Obispo, while in the Candelaria the branch of lily so characteristic of the Virgin of Amparoand an orange blossom, so typical of the orange trees on San Fernando Street.
In the center of the work, under the Lord of the Garden, is represented the facade of the Church of San Francisco, the temple which is the canonical seat of the brotherhood.
Likewise, the logo created by Brother del Huerto was unveiled Saturday evening at the Merced Church. César Alcalá. Graphically forms the word Garden with a chalice (which alludes to the Lord’s sentence in Gethsemane), letters and the number 50, in gold, red and the key years in green (1975-2025).
Furthermore, the musical group Redemption from Cordoba offered a concert during which the march “Gethsemani”, a work by Alejandro Pedraza, was premiered.
Very recent is the visit last Friday of a representation of the brotherhood to the bishop of Cordoba, Démetrio Fernándezto address the events planned for 2025 to commemorate this anniversary.
The prelate expressed his affection and satisfaction for the various religious, charitable, training, cultural and missionary initiatives that the brotherhood plans to develop.
The brotherhood has scheduled services this Sunday in honor of Señor Amarrado a la Columna and has just opened its annual Nuestra Señora del Amparo photography competition, in its twelfth edition, with the deadline to submit images until the 2 FEBRUARY.
