Videos posted on the Spanish Falange social network X show demonstrators singing “Face the sun” in front of the PSOE headquarters on Ferraz Street in Madrid. For their part, sources from the Delegation informed EFE that around 600 people participated at the demonstration called by Phalange last Friday evening between the vicinity of the headquarters of the PP, rue Génova, and that of the PSOE.

The same sources explained that there were no violent incidents or arrests during the demonstration, called with the slogan ‘Against everything rotten’, in reference to the PP and the PSOE, and of which the Phalange had previously informed the Government Delegation. PSOE sources expressed this Saturday their “most absolute condemnation of a new fascist demonstration” which, they assure, will not intimidate the socialists, and asked the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, to clarify what ‘he thinks of songs of ‘Facing the sun’.

The Democratic Memory law of 2022 provides for sanctions of between 200 and 150,000 euros for certain cases contrary to the norm, such as, for example, acts in public places exalting the military uprising, the civil war or the dictatorship of Franco, or its leaders.
