This Tuesday, it was around four in the morning when agents of the two Forces made the arrests in the Granada town of Pinos Puente, after three months of searching. For the moment, the investigation remains open and in secret of the procedure, responsible for the Instruction Court 3 of Girona.
It should be recalled that the alleged perpetrator of the double offence, Guillermo, who used the AK-47 riflehad already been arrested last April, as part of an operation against drug trafficking. It was part of an investigation that began after the location of a marijuana warehouse in Hospitalet (Barcelona) and that resulted in 24 arrests. In his case, after being brought to justice, he was released.

It was a few hours after the suspect’s vehicle was also found. In this case, it turned out to be burned in Mont-ras.
Last August, Catalan police arrested nine individuals linked to the altercations. Among them, two are accused of harming the authorities for assaulting two workers at the Josep Trueta Hospital, where emergency crews were transporting the shooting victims. On September 17, two other men, aged 23 and 26, showed up at Mossos’ offices to surrender themselves due to their alleged involvement in the double crime.
After being brought to justice, the latter two were placed in provisional prison, with notice and without bail, as accomplices in two completed assassinations, two other attempted assassinations and illegal possession of weapons.
