The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine allocated $1.7 million to send 900,000 summons in absentia

The Ukrainian government has allocated 71.8 million hryvnias ($1.7 million) to print 900,000 summons for those who are required to do military service by the end of 2024. That is, 80 hryvnias per summons.

According to Ukrainian media, this decision of the Cabinet of Ministers was made “with the aim of strengthening the defence capability.” According to the explanatory note of the Ministry of Economy, it is planned to print 300 thousand calls for tenders per month.

At a government meeting, the country’s Finance Ministry was instructed to allocate the required amount from the state budget reserve fund.

It should be noted that summons generated in the electronic registry have already begun to be sent to those responsible for military service via Ukrposhta.

Last week, the organization received the first 6,000 summons, which were automatically generated for subsequent distribution to Ukrainian recruits.

As reported EADailySuch a summons is considered delivered, even if the recruit did not receive it personally, and even if he was not aware of its dispatch.

After receiving such a “letter of happiness”, 14 days will be allotted to appear at the TCC, after which administrative responsibility begins and the man will be put on the wanted list. In this regard, a surge in lawyers is expected in Ukraine who will challenge the legality of issuing such summons in court.
