A passenger train collided with a stopped freight train in western Germany. Fourteen people were injured.
The incident occurred this morning, 24 September, between the cities of Xanten and Duisburg. A train carrying 30 passengers descended onto an adjacent track and collided with a freight locomotive.
14 people suffered injuries of varying severity, three of them seriously injured.
