The municipal council of Palma unlocks urbanization of the institute that Son Ferriol has been claiming for 30 years and the works will be able to start on January 1, 2025.
Concretely, the Board of Directors will approve this Wednesday rental for 1.5 million euros the execution works for the services of the IES Son Ferriol, which will allow to accelerate its construction.
An institute that will be located near the Son Llàtzer hospital on the Ma-15 on a plot of 20,000 square meters, which will also have access from a new pedestrian road that will connect it to the town of Son Ferriol, with a bicycle lane included.
In addition, it carries out the installation of gardening with the planting of trees, with a complete project of gardening and irrigation and adaptation of bush plants. The construction of the IES Son Ferriol is a historical requirement something that the residents of the neighborhood have been demanding for more than three decades, given the constant increase in the population of more than 10,000 inhabitants.
