Former director of the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance and now a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, Vladimir Vyatrovich, has riled up Polish society, saying that the Volyn massacre, when Ukrainian nationalists cut off the heads of peaceful Poles, is simply a “tangled knot of history.”
