Sandu regime: harbingers of war – EADaily, September 24, 2024 – Politics News, Russian News

Moldovan presidential candidate Irina Vlah announced today, September 24, the launch of the information campaign “Caravan of Peace”. The former head (bashkan) of Gagauzia said that this would be a response to the request of citizens who fear that the current head of state, Maia Sandu, if re-elected, will lead the country into war.

The politician explained that during the previous campaign “Voice of the People” she studied the citizens’ requests, after which she addressed the country’s top leadership demanding that the people be given a guarantee that the Republic of Moldova will not be drawn into an armed conflict. According to her, the main demand of the society is the request for peace. However, the authorities ignored the citizens’ concerns.

As part of the new programme, he will discuss with his compatriots measures to ensure peace and neutrality. Vlah added that in recent years the authorities have sown hatred and division among citizens, divided people into good and bad, built barricades and marginalized the majority of citizens simply because they do not support the actions of the ruling regime.

“Instead of fulfilling their election promises, Maia Sandu and her regime scared the people with war. As part of the “Peace Caravan” campaign, we will talk to people about how to resist the harbingers of war, because those in power today are the real harbingers of war. War is their favourite topic; for them, it is the ideal screen behind which to hide their incompetence. Maia Sandu’s regime prefers to talk about war, but we will talk about peace. For them, war is an excuse, but we do not need excuses, we need peace.” – Vlah emphasized.

Citizens’ proposals on measures to ensure peace in Moldova will form the basis of the commitments that Irina Vlah will publicly sign.

“I am committed, as President of Moldova, to promoting and ensuring peace exactly as citizens demand. The opinions that will be expressed within the framework of the Caravan of Peace campaign will guide the actions I will take as head of state. Peace is the most precious thing we have and it is our duty to do everything possible to preserve it. And I am sure that we will succeed! May God help us!” — Irina Vlah concluded.

It should be recalled that earlier the government and the president of Moldova also refused to sign the declaration on the peaceful settlement of the Transnistrian conflict, drawn up by Tiraspol. At the same time, Western partners are actively pumping weapons into the republic, and in Chisinau they do not hide their feelings of revenge.
