In Baku, prices for parking spaces in the basements of residential buildings are increasing.
If a square meter of an apartment in a renovated and ready-to-live-in building in the city center costs 5-6 thousand manats, then 7-8 thousand manats are needed for a square meter of parking space.
Real estate expert Elshad Aliyev told Khazar Khabar that such high prices are due to high demand and the presence of additional technical equipment in these garages:
“As there are premium apartments in the newly built buildings and the concrete and iron work in these buildings is expensive, the company offers these garages at high prices. Prices of garages sold at the apartment price also vary depending on the location.”
Lawyer Emil Aslanov said in his statement that some housing and construction cooperatives (MTK) illegally sell the yard area that belongs to the common area of newly built buildings, as well as areas where communication lines pass in the basement, such as garages for the building’s residents.
