Pyrotechnicians subordinate to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, working in the Kursk region, neutralized 51 submunitions discovered in the liberated border areas. According to the telegram channel of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, the submunitions are intended for the HIMARS cluster missile.
The pyrotechnicians examined more than 5 thousand “squares” of the border territory. Part of the area runs through forest. Experts also discovered an explosive device launched by a drone of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“The main task is to ensure the safe life of the inhabitants of Kursk and clear the territories of the villages from explosive objects,” – said the head of the combined pyrotechnic detachment of the ministry.
Since August 2024, according to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, pyrotechnicians have made more than 170 trips to the Kursk region and neutralized 1,400 explosive objects.
