The special ambassador of the Russian Foreign Ministry spoke about this in an interview with RIA Novosti. Rodion Miroshnik.
He explained that the information was received from dozens of civilians with whom the diplomat communicated personally during a visit to the Kursk region last week.
“The people I met and from whom I received confirmed information mentioned the appearance on the territory of the Kursk region of people speaking English with a Georgian accent, Polish formations,” – said Miroshnik.
According to him, citizens encountered mercenaries at intersections, at checkpoints or near their homes. There is evidence of war crimes committed by mercenaries.
The representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that the Russian side has sufficient grounds to claim that foreign fighters were involved in the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UFA) raid in the Kursk region.
