King Abdullah II of Jordan has spoken at the UN General Assembly with harsh criticism of Israel’s actions in the Gaza Strip, stressing that “the scale of violence directed against the civilian population cannot be justified.”
Channel 12 reports this.
“It is impossible to justify the scale of the atrocities that Israel is committing against citizens of the Gaza Strip,” said Jordan’s King Abdullah.
He noted that the “Israeli aggression” also affected Judea and Samaria, where at least 700 people were killed. King Abdullah expressed the view that the current situation is unacceptable and requires immediate change. He also condemned Israel’s actions towards Jerusalem, saying the country was violating the status quo, a view supported by some members of the Israeli government.
According to him, Israel must choose between living a life based on the values of freedom or continuing its policy of isolation and rejection of the international community.
