Azerbaijani judokas won 2 gold, 1 silver and 5 bronze medals at the Youth European Cup held in Thessaloniki, Greece, taking second place in the overall classification and first place among men.

It was reported that in the two-day competition Azerbaijan was represented by 20 judokas in 8 weight categories among men. Our judokas won 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals on the first day of the tournament. On the second day of competition, Subhan Akhundov (+90 kg.) won a gold medal, Said Sharifov (-73 kg.), Amin Mehdiyev (-81 kg.) and Tunar Farzaliyev (+90 kg.) won a medal bronze medal. Abdullah Rahmatov (-81 kg) took fifth place, Mahammad Agakishiyev (-73 kg) and Said Huseynov (-90 kg) seventh.
