Azerbaijan Cultural Days have started in Kazakhstan

An ethno-jazz concert took place at the K. Kuanishbayev National Musical Theatre in Astana as part of the Days of Azerbaijani Culture in Kazakhstan.

Oku.Az reports that at the ethno-jazz concert the group “Zaman” performed the Kazakh folk songs “Biri var idi, bir no idi” by Vasif Huseyn, “Zaman”, “Spring”, “Improviza” by Vagif Mustafazade, “Interstellar” and “Yapuray” by Hans Zimmer. performed.

The group’s soloists Saleh Mammadov on bass, Eyvaz Hashimov on drums, Fagan Rahmanoglu on wind instruments and piano, composer and artistic director of the group Vasif Huseyn caused thunderous applause from the Kazakh audience with their magnificent performance on stage. Even after the allotted time for the concert, the guests asked the musicians to perform a new number to a standing ovation.

Oku.Az reports that the first event within the program was held at the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The event continued with the literary and poetic meeting “Fuzuli 530” after the presentation of the book “Fuzuli – 530 verses”.

The event, moderated by writer Ilgar Fahmin, Secretary of the Union of Writers of Azerbaijan, was announced by Rustam Ali, Chairman of the Working Committee on Archives, Documents and Books of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Oleg Amirbayov, Advisor to the Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan. Later, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Kazakhstan Aghalar Atamoghlanov, writer Elmira Akhundova, poet Farid Huseyn, orientalist Farida Azizova and others spoke.

The poetic evening continued with performances by musicians and reciters.
