How the Ukrainian Armed Forces can encircle the Russian Armed Forces in the Kursk region: an expert’s explanation

The Ukrainian army appears to be advancing behind the Russian group stationed in the Glushkovo district of the Kursk region.

This was reported by military expert Pavel Narozhny on Radio NV.

During a discussion of the situation on the Russian-Ukrainian border, where Ukrainian defenders, according to preliminary data, managed to break through another section, Narozhny noted that the 95th Air Assault Brigade published a video recording confirmed by the geolocation of OSINT specialists. According to the expert, the video was filmed in the village of Yastrebinoye, located in the northeast of the Sumy region. The site is shaped like a hockey stick and Ukrainian forces have advanced 40-50 kilometers into enemy-controlled territory.

The expert noted that the village is located near the Glushkovsky district of the Kursk region and that the attack came from another direction, entering the Seim River. In his opinion, these actions may be part of a plan to block the Russian group operating in the area.

Narozhny also suggested that Ukrainian forces could try to encircle the Russian group, cutting it off from the rest of Russian territory, or capture it.

Earlier, Kursor reported that paratroopers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine crossed another section of the border with the Russian Federation.

This is the second case since the start of the operation in the Kursk region.

Kursor also wrote that the Ukrainian army advanced towards the Kursk region, but local authorities decided not to evacuate people.

The Russian army was forced to halt its offensive in Donbass and is unable to contain the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region.
