The three-room apartment of the People’s Artist of the USSR, holder of the Order of the Republic of Moldova, national hero and legend of Ukraine Sofia Rotaru in Moscow was taken off the market. This was reported by the telegram channel Shot.
According to the real estate agents, for the past few weeks they and the owner’s representatives have been constantly showing the property to potential buyers. But the agreement never came to fruition. In the end, dozens of applicants refused. In addition, the apartment was offered to potential buyers at a discount of 5 million from the original price.
As reported EADailyThe announcement of the sale of Rotaru’s apartment on Zoologicheskaya Street was noticed by the artist’s fans in October on one of the real estate portals.
“Rooms 30+19+16. Kitchen-dining room 16 meters. Huge loggia. The apartment is also unique because it belongs to a very famous artist. Quick access to an offer. An adult owner. Nobody is registered. Keys in hand. Show at any convenient time” – the ad said.
It was also noted that the property is located in the heart of Moscow. They initially asked for 70 million rubles for the apartment, but later reduced the price to 65 million rubles.
According to the artist’s former concert director. Olga Konyakhina“the then mayor of Moscow helped Rotaru buy an apartment Yuri Luzhkov. At some event, he struck up a conversation with her and found out that when she arrived in Moscow, she stayed in a hotel. “How is that? Such a person doesn’t have his own house?” Yuri Mikhailovich was surprised. And he ordered that he be assigned this apartment on very favorable terms, in exchange for almost nothing.
