Jakarta – The corruption eradication commission is investigating the alleged corruption of the Hajj quota in the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag). KPK investigators requested clarifications in relation to a number of parties related to the investigation of the case.
One of the witnesses who were examined by the anti -religious investigator of the commission was Vostdad Khalid Basalam.
“In yesterday’s request, the interested person was also cooperation and was transmitted by information and information necessary for the team,” said KPK representative, Buy Proseto, quoted on Wednesday (06/25/2025).
According to him, the statement of the authorities of Khalid Bazalam is very important in order to reveal the case under consideration.
“Thus, each information and information transmitted, of course, is required by the KPK team to solve this case,” he said.
Based on the records, KPK received several alleged corruption confessions related to the definition of quota and the implementation of pilgrimage.
Earlier, KPK also did not exclude the possibility of calling the former Minister of Religion (Menag) by Yakut Cholil Kumas.
