How to recognize a low-quality car? – Tips for buying new and used cars.

Buying a car is a responsible decision that requires care and knowledge. Experience shows that you can find a low-quality vehicle not only among used cars, but also in car dealerships.

Oku.AzAccording to Lenta.ru, Russian car expert Tatyana Malysheva spoke about the signs that will help recognize a car with problems.

According to him, even buying a new car from official dealers does not guarantee that the vehicle is in perfect condition.

“Some manufacturers, in an attempt to cut costs, introduce structural defects into their models. Typical problems with new cars include: violation of the geometry of the body, poor-quality paintwork and cracks that lead to corrosion, malfunctions in one of the systems,” he said.

The expert said that more attention is required when buying a used car:

“Scratches, scuffs, excessively worn pedals (a sign of brake problems), colour irregularities and a thick layer of paint (which can hide traces of an accident) on the bodywork should be a red flag for the buyer. Oil and antifreeze leaks under the bonnet indicate technical faults. Also, suspicious ones with even low mileage should be cause for concern – the seller may be hiding the real figures, which could lead to huge repair costs down the road.”

Malysheva advises marking the windows, putting on wheel arch covers and checking the condition of the instrument panel. According to him, the blinkers that are on indicate that there are errors in the car’s systems.

“Caution, technical knowledge and expert help are the three pillars when buying a car,” Malysheva concluded.
