Trump appeals to Netanyahu on Gaza war

Former US President Donald Trump expressed to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu his desire for Israel to end the war in the Gaza Strip before his possible return to power if he wins the elections.

This was reported by The Times Of Israel news agency.

According to a former Trump administration official and an Israeli official, this wish was expressed in July, when the Republican presidential candidate met with Netanyahu at Mar-a-Lago. For the first time it became known that the request was accompanied by an indication of a clear deadline for ending the war.

According to a former US official, Trump did not set clear conditions for Netanyahu and was likely willing to approve the continuation of limited IDF operations in Gaza as long as Israel formally declared an end to the war.

In recent weeks, Trump has signaled that he is willing to give Israel more room to maneuver and has sharply criticized Joe Biden for trying to limit the range of targets to which Israel can launch retaliatory strikes following Iran’s Oct. 1 attack.

The former US official clarified that Trump’s plans to achieve victory at the time of his inauguration also include the release of all hostages.

Previously, Cursor wrote that Donald Trump, the Republican candidate in the upcoming presidential election, promised to end the “suffering and destruction in Lebanon” while addressing Arab voters a few days before the vote. He also said that Hamas’s attack on Israel would not have happened if he had remained president.
