The person responsible is exposed to an offense against industrial property when the products are identified as replicas without having passed security checks.
The Civil Guard seized in Badalona 7,320 fashion dolls worth 150,000 euros. These small collectible figurines imitating those of the famous Sonny Angel brand were marketed without the label legal permissions corresponding. Agents had detected the sale of these popular dolls counterfeit at a local establishment.
Upon inspection of the business, they identified the toys as replicas displayed for sale. The Civil Guard investigated the person in charge of the establishment for a crime against industrial property.
In these cases, falsification and sale of products without the corresponding quality controls represent a risk. This increases when articles are specifically aimed at minorswhich could cause Shamebecause these do not meet the required safety standards.
The seized toys were delivered to the Contraband Section of the Main Customs of Barcelona, where they will be analyzed to determine their origin and exact characteristics.
The intervention was carried out by a Tax and Border Patrol (PAFIF) based in Premià de Mar, located in the province of Barcelona.
