Oku.Az Mehriban Zeynalova, director of the Public Union for Women’s Aid “Tamiz Dunya”, shared the sad story of the minor on her Facebook account:
“The fate of a girl living in one of the poor villages of an unnamed region is heartbreakingly difficult. Before she turned 12, her aunt married her son with the consent of her mother. Her aunt’s son is blind, and the main reason for this marriage is the poverty of the family. The girl never went to school, her life has been full of burdens since childhood.
Since he was a minor, they did not take him to the doctor or attend to his health. After a while, when his condition worsens, they finally take him to the doctor. The doctors discover that the child died in the womb. As a result of artificial birth, the girl gives birth to a stillborn child. But her pain does not end there: just a month after giving birth, she becomes pregnant again. Because the people around her blame her for the child’s death, and this morally destroys the girl.
Mehriban Zeynalova noted that she gave birth to her second child at the age of 14:
“In addition, since she is a minor, the birth takes place at home. The harsh conditions and inhuman pressures in which they live make her angrier than life. Last year she began to live separately from her husband unofficially, but her marriage official It is still valid because when she turned 18, she was forced to marry. Her husband was 10 years older than her, but her mother still accepted this marriage. Unfortunately, this painful life story continues. The girl lost her childhood, but she could not. be a girl, nor could he feel what it is to live as a human being.”
Mehriban Zeynalova said that the girl in question is now in the shelter of the Public Union for Women’s Aid “Tamiz Dunya”.
