The peninsula will continue to be exposed to the influence of the fronts associated with the Aitor storm, with abundant rainfall in the northwest quadrant, which will be locally persistent and strong in much of Galicia, and may occur weaker in other areas and with an increase in almost generalized temperatures.
According to the National Meteorological Agency (AEMET) forecasts, precipitation will be more likely on the Atlantic coast and in the surrounding areas of Galicia and the central Pyrenees; the further southeast, the more likely they will be, with a low probability and a weak and scattered character in the areas of southern Extremadura, west and north of Castilla-La Mancha, the middle of the Ebro and inland Catalonia.
In the Canaries, some cloudy passages are expected in the north and little cloudiness in the south of the archipelago, with moderate trade winds.
An almost general increase in temperatures is expected, with a more pronounced increase in minimum temperatures in the eastern half and maximum temperatures on the Cantabrian coast, in the Ampurdán and in the central areas, which may be notable on the northern plateau. Light frosts may occur on the peaks of the Pyrenees.
The southwest winds will blow over the peninsula and the Balearic Islands and will be more intense than in previous days, with possible strong intervals and/or very strong gusts in areas of the northwest quadrant and other mountains of the northern half, with greater probability in the north of Galicia. This community is at the orange alert level due to rain.
