Employees of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) of Kyrgyzstan have detained members of a criminal group that illegally adopted children and took them out of the country for sale, vesti.kg reports, citing the press service of the department.
According to reports, this was carried out by a stable transnational criminal organization consisting of citizens of Kyrgyzstan and other countries. Its members illegally adopted children and took them out of the country for sale.
“It was established that from 2022 to the present, this criminal organization, through various manipulations, bribes and violations of the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic, received the right to full guardianship of children of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic from socially vulnerable families. “ – the State Committee for National Security said in a statement.
The suspects were arrested and taken into custody. An investigation is ongoing.
