JAKARTA – Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian Parliament SUFMI DASCO AHMAD confirmed the draft law (bill) to Capture of assets will be compiled in parliament. Nevertheless, the discussion will be carried out after the revision of the Code of Criminal Procedure (Kuhap) is completed.

According to DASCO, this is important because the material regarding the deprivation of assets is regulated not only in one legislation. Nevertheless, it applies to various rules, such as corruption criminal law (corruption), crimes to launder money (TPPU), the Criminal Code (KUHP) in the criminal procedure code.
So the approach adopted by the DPR must first resolve the related bill so that regulation in the bill on the seizure of assets can be carefully and harmonious.
