Carlos Alcaraz on Rafa Nadal’s retirement: “A possible last dance…”

At the press conference preceding his debut at the ATP 500 in Beijing against Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, Carlos Alcaraz were asked about Rafa Nadal.

Manacorí, after leaving the Laver Cup at the last minute, was summoned by David Ferrer will be in Malaga next November for the Davis Cup final.

It is not yet certain whether the winner of 22 major tournaments will be on the Costa del Sol, but there is already speculation that his presence could lead to his retirement.

In fact, even Rafa himself has not confirmed that he will continue playing in 2025, so the possibility of hanging up his racket is there.

This question was posed to Alcaraz, who was initially happy to be reunited with Nadal.

It’s something incredible to be able to have Rafa in the team and surround myself with them as much as possible, learning on and off the field,” he said.

I don’t want to think that this is a possible last dance for him in Malaga.. “I want to enjoy the time I can spend with him on and off the field,” he added.
