Young scientists from Kazakhstan and Russia have agreed to cooperate, Sputnik Kazakhstan reported, citing the Russian Embassy in Kazakhstan.
According to the agency, the relevant agreement was signed by the Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists (CYS) of the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the event, they summarized the activities of SMU MAAS in previous years and also talked about the work of the young scientists’ councils of the association’s member organizations.
A memorandum on scientific and technical cooperation was also signed between the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. It provides for the exchange of ideas, information, technologies and joint use of the scientific infrastructure of both countries.
The event brought together representatives of academies of sciences and research centres from Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Vietnam, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Montenegro, Azerbaijan, Cuba and China.
The International Association of Academies of Sciences brings together 27 organizations, including academies of sciences from the CIS countries, universities and major scientific centers, covering regions from the Caribbean to Asia.
