The territorial director of this organization recalls that after a year 2023 which “ended badly”, the community has found its export rate since the beginning of the year, now exceeding the initial forecasts of 10.160 million euros.
He territorial director of ICEX of Castile-La Mancha, Pedro Antonio Morejónannounced that the region’s exports would reach 10.3 billion euros this year, which would represent a “very interesting” increase of around 4.8%.
Morejón, who offered an informative breakfast with the media this Wednesday in Toledo to explain the region’s export forecasts for 2024, stressed that these figures reflect an increase of almost one and a half points compared to the initial forecasts.
The territorial director of ICEX clarified that Castilla-La Mancha, after a 2023 that “ended badly” for exports from Castile-La Manchahas returned to its export rhythm since the beginning of the year, now exceeding the initial forecast of 10.160 million euros.
All this with a situation, he stressed, “of uncertainty at its highest level” and an “extremely complicated” scenario, but with companies that have “become accustomed to rowing against the current” and that have “more courage” to go out and “face complicated situations.
Pedro Antonio Morejón wanted to highlight the data from Castilla-La Mancha even more by comparing them to the national average, which although expected a decrease of 5%, will finally have an increase of 1.1%.
