An arrest warrant was issued for Azerbaijani military attaché Kahraman Mammadov, detained in Istanbul with 70 kilograms of gold.
According to information obtained by “Qafqazinfo”, the lieutenant colonel who was taken to Baku participated in the investigation.
After the preliminary investigation, he was charged with articles 12.1 206.3.3, 12.1 341.1 and other articles of the Penal Code.
The information collected was sent to the court for legal evaluation.
By decision of the Baku Military Court, G. Mammadov was sentenced to 4 months of preventive detention.
It should be noted that G. Mammadov previously worked in various positions in the Ministry of Defense. He recently worked as a military attaché at the Azerbaijani Embassy in Saudi Arabia.
