Australia imposes new sanctions against Russia aimed at strategic sectors

Australia Foreign Minister Beni Wong said that new sanctions include financial restrictions and a ban on entry into the country, and are also aimed at individuals and institutions in defense, energy, transport and insurance sectors, in addition to the media and technical data accused of the spread of “Russian propaganda”.

Among the most outstanding names included in the fines, the Russian artist Yaroslav Dronov, known as the Shaman, actor Ginchelv Manusharv, along with the director of the News Media Aram Gabrilanov, General Director of Russian Government Broadcasting, Anton -Zlatopolis and director Alex -In Institute.

The fines were also intended for members of the board of directors of large companies, such as Gazprom Neft, Gazprom Bank, Roshydro and Sofkomflotte, in addition to the general manager of Tatfatodor Irat Shote, and the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minghanov.

Target organizations also included the Russian insurance company Sujujlassia, Micron Company, which specializes in semiconductor technology technologies and the PayCal Electronics processor, as well as a number of other institutions.

This package has been the last in the network of sanctions imposed by Australia since 2014, since the Australian government has announced more than 30 rounds of restrictions aimed at more than 1,200 people and 300 institutions from Russia and Belarus.

These sanctions included freezing the assets of private individuals and companies, preventing commercial operations and the introduction of a comprehensive ban on the export of weapons and technologies used in oil, gas and mining sectors.
