According to the Vatican publication “Vatican News”, representatives of 193 United Nations countries met in Baku to discuss the difficult task of fighting the climate crisis. The Russian publication “Moscow-Baku” published a news item titled “Azerbaijan and Türkiye are preparing a new roadmap for cooperation.”
It was reported that Azerbaijan and Türkiye will adopt a new cooperation roadmap later this year. The source referred to the statement by Türkiye’s Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology, Muhammet Kasım Gönüllü.
According to him, the document is being prepared in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan. The Turkish official said there is successful cooperation between the two countries in many areas, including standardization. The website of the Turkish television channel “Haber Global” informs its readers that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, called France’s decision not to participate in the most important event related to the future of the planet during a conversation with journalists at COP29.
The minister also reported on the current status of peace negotiations with Armenia. Although many countries such as Türkiye, Italy, England and Spain were represented at the leadership level at the conference, France did not participate. Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov pointed out that it is wrong for official Paris to stay out of the climate issue under any pretext.
