Roman Madyanov is asked to be posthumously awarded the title of People’s Artist of Russia

Honored Artist of Russia Roman Madyanov, who died on September 25, is being asked to be posthumously awarded the title of People’s Artist of the Russian Federation. Representatives of the Veterans of Russia movement have sent a corresponding appeal to the Ministry of Culture, the Shot telegram channel reports.

“In their speech, they highlighted Madyanov’s contribution to the development of theatre and cinema.” – says the publication.

We will remind that during his career Madyanov took part in dozens of theatre productions, more than 200 films and TV series. He was awarded the Nika Award for Best Supporting Actor four times and the Golden Eagle Award twice: for Best Actor (12) and for Best Supporting Actor (Leviathan).

As reported EADailyRoman Madyanov died on September 25 at the age of 63. According to the Mash telegram channel, the cause of the artist’s death was cancer. It is alleged that the actor suffered from lung cancer. Recently, Madyanov complained of shortness of breath, cough and constant weakness.
