Tests of a new missile in Japan have failed again

A fire broke out during testing of the Epsilon S rocket engine in Japan.

Oku.Az reports about this with reference to the NHK television channel.

The incident took place at the Tanegashima Cosmodrome (Kagoshima Prefecture). No one was injured as a result of the fire.

It should be noted that the “Epsilon” series three-stage solid-fuel rocket was jointly developed by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and the IHI aviation corporation. This type of rocket has been used to launch small satellites in Japan since 2013. “Epsilon S” is its latest modification.

It should be remembered that in July 2023 a similar test was carried out in Akita prefecture that resulted in an explosion.
