The Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris, who has kept a low profile since his defeat, privately told his advisors and allies that he was considering two main options for his political future: returning to compete for the White House in the 2028 elections or aspire to the position of governor of California within two years.
In telephone conversations with those around him, Harris insisted that “Keep fighting”according to the audience Policy, which cites five people close to the vice president who spoke with her to discuss internal dynamics.
According to these sources, the Republican plans to discuss her future with her family during the upcoming winter vacation.
His role within the Democratic Party
In the short term, Harris and his team are trying to decide how and when will he raise his voice against Trump and how he will reaffirm his role within the Democratic Party.
In the last days of his mandate, he will have the task of presiding over the session of Congress which will certify the January 6 Trump’s electoral victory and, in addition, will attend the inauguration of the new president on January 20.
