Belarus and Pakistan have agreed on a roadmap for the development of comprehensive cooperation for the period 2025-2027. The corresponding document was signed after negotiations between Alexander Lukashenko and the Prime Minister of the Islamic State, Shahbaz Sharif.
The document was signed by the co-chairs of the Belarusian-Pakistani intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation, the Minister of Energy. Alexey Kushnarenko and secretary of commerce Jam Kamal Khan. In addition, the parties concluded an extradition agreement and an intergovernmental agreement on international road transport, and a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the State Customs Committee of Belarus and the Customs Service of the Federal Board of Revenue of the Government of Pakistan on the exchange of customs statistics of mutual trade.
In addition, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus and the National Disaster Management Authority of Pakistan signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of prevention and response to emergency situations. The Belarusian Financial Supervision Department of the State Control Committee and the Financial Supervision Unit of the Government of Pakistan agreed to cooperate in the exchange of information related to money laundering, predicate crimes and terrorist financing. An agreement on scientific and technical cooperation was also signed between the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Academy of Sciences of Pakistan.
Among the signed documents are memoranda of cooperation between the SGC of Belarus and the Office of the Auditor General of Pakistan, the Ministry of Antitrust Regulation and Commerce of Belarus and the Ministry of Commerce of Pakistan, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of Belarus . and Pakistan’s Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, the Center for Healthcare Expertise and Testing, and the Medicines Regulatory Agency.
Let us remember that Alexandr Lukashenko is on an official visit to Pakistan. The Belarusian leader, during a meeting with Shahbaz Sharif, noted that “the technologies we have are very necessary for Pakistan.” He also expressed confidence that thanks to Belarusian technologies the Islamic State “will be able to take a big step in its development” and invited ministers and business executives from Pakistan to Belarus so that they can see with their own eyes the capabilities of the republic. .
