It has been almost three months since the candidates of MasterChef Celebrity 9 They began their culinary journey. The popular cooking show is about to have its grand finale and emotions are running high among the contestants. But like everything in life, there is always an end. Jury members no longer allow first-time decisions, with the format looking for its winning candidate. For this reason, and after saying goodbye to Cristina Cifuentes in the last broadcast, On November 25, another new candidate had to hang up his apron. A new unexpected expulsion whose name left no one indifferent.
The first test of the evening began with the contestants replicating their childhood snacks. To do this, they had to apply the techniques they had learned throughout the competition, but they had special help: their family members. A challenge full of emotions where Inés Hernand was crowned the new winnerhe therefore had the opportunity to donate 4,000 euros to an NGO. After that, it was the turn of the team test, a new challenge where Pitingo and Inés were the only ones who managed to escape from the subsequent elimination test.
At the end of the program, and as usual, the candidates with the lowest test results had to take the elimination test. A situation that put Pocholo, Marina Rivers and Francis Lorenzo facing an obstacle and a hard place. Before starting the challenge, the candidates received a visit from the actor and comedian Santiago Segura, candidate for the third edition program.
Afterwards, three of the most respected pastry chefs in the gastronomic world have entered the kitchens: Saray Ruizmaster chocolatier and winner of the Lluís Santapau Trophy for best chocolatier in Spain; Lluc Crusellasawarded by the World Chocolate Masters and the Prix Au Chef Pâtissier 2023 and Ricard Martinezcreative advisor. They were the ones who introduced the elimination test to celebrities.
This way, The chefs created a painting that the candidates in black aprons had to reproduce. Likewise, and because Inés Hernand was the best in the previous test, she was the one who chose the dishes on which her classmates would have to work. A complicated challenge that left the celebrities very nervous.

After having done their best and having managed as best they could, it was the turn to evaluate the cooked dishes. Marina and Francis are the ones who received the best reviews from the jury. A situation that left clear the name of the eliminated: Pocholo Martínez-Bordiú.
“Pocholo, you were a semi-finalist, you entered without cooking anything. The progress is magnificent”Pepe Rodríguez started by telling him. “We’ve never had anyone as dedicated as you. We were very happy to welcome you here. This way of being that makes you fall in love, that conquers… There are not so many people like you in the Pocholo world,” he added.
Totally grateful for the experience he had and what he learned, the expelled wanted to devote a few words to the format. “The progression, the teaching, being there with you… I want to go back to Ibiza and see if I can find a place in the Pachá kitchens. Cooking came into my life to stay there. “I took advantage of the time,” he said by way of farewell.
